Set up payment types

Decide which payment methods your online shop offers, and where to enter each provider's credentials.

Payment types control which payment methods a customer can choose at checkout — invoice, prepayment, cash, or a card/wallet provider such as PayPal or Payrexx. Each payment type is its own entry, with its own name, icon, and visibility, so you can offer exactly the mix of methods you want, in the order you want.

Open Payment types

Go to Shop → Configuration → Payment types. The list shows every payment type you've created, with its name, visibility, sort order, and underlying type.

Add a payment method

On the Payment types page, click Create new.
Upload an icon for the payment method — it's shown next to the name at checkout.
Set the order — a number that controls where this method appears relative to the others.
Choose the type — the underlying payment mechanism (for example Invoice, Prepayment, Cash, PayPal, Payrexx, PostFinance Checkout, SaferPay, or Wallee).
Switch the language selector and enter the name shown to customers in each language.
Click Save.

Enable or hide a payment method

Use the visible checkbox on the payment type to control whether it's currently offered at checkout. Untick it to hide a method temporarily — for example while you're still setting up its provider credentials — without deleting the entry.

Configure provider credentials

Provider-based payment types need account credentials before they'll work. On the Payment types page, the second list below the grid shows every supported provider with an Add or Configure link — Add means the provider hasn't been set up yet, Configure means it already has saved settings.

Edit or delete a payment method

Use the row actions on the Payment types grid to edit a method's icon, order, type, or name, or to delete it. If a payment type has already been used on orders, Vinosoft blocks the deletion so your order history stays intact — hide it instead by clearing visible.
