Create and send a newsletter

Compose an email newsletter, choose the recipient group it goes to, set the sender address, and send it out through the email queue.

A newsletter is an email campaign you send to a group of recipients. You write it once, pick the group it should reach, and Vinosoft delivers a personalised copy to every subscriber in that group.

Open the Newsletters list

Go to Newsletters → Newsletters to see every newsletter you've created, with its reference, created date, and sent date. Use the search box at the top to find one by name.

Create a newsletter

  1. On the Newsletters list, click Create new.
  2. Fill in the newsletter details:
    • Regard — an internal reference or name so you can find the newsletter again later.
    • Header — the subject line and heading your recipients see.
    • Text — the body of the email. Use the built-in editor to format text, add links, and insert images.
  3. Optionally tick Published and add a Header image and one or more pictures.
  4. Click Save, or Save and close to return to the list.

If your plan includes the extended newsletters module, new newsletters open in the BEE drag-and-drop editor instead of the basic text editor. See Design templates with the BEE editor for how that editor works.

Send a newsletter

  1. On the Newsletters list, choose Send on the newsletter you want to deliver.
  2. Check the Subject (taken from the newsletter's header — it's shown read-only).
  3. Pick the Group of recipients to send to. See Manage recipient groups for how to build these.
  4. Enter the Sender email and the Reply to email address.
  5. Leave Force mode unticked for a normal send. Tick it only if you want to send again to people in the group who already received this newsletter.
  6. Click Send.

Vinosoft then opens the newsletter in the email queue, where you start the actual delivery. See Monitor the email queue for the next step.

Copy or delete a newsletter

Use the row actions on the Newsletters list to copy a newsletter (handy as a starting point for the next one) or to delete one you no longer need.
