The tax report

Generate the Swiss VAT report (Steuerabrechnung) for a filing period, watch it build in the background, then view, download and archive the finished PDF.

The tax report is your Swiss VAT return (Steuerabrechnung) for a filing period. It totals your bookings into the numbered positions of the official VAT form and works out whether you owe VAT or have a credit.

Open the tax report

Go to Finance → Tax report. The screen shows the period filter, a generate button, and a history grid of reports you've already produced. The filing period is a quarter or a half-year, depending on your VAT billing type.

Generate a report

  1. Choose the filing period you want to report.
  2. Click generate. Vinosoft builds the report in the background — the row appears in the history grid with a status while it works, so you don't have to wait on the page.
  3. When the status turns to completed, open the report to view it in the browser or download the PDF.

View, archive and manage reports

  • View opens the finished VAT form on screen from the saved report data.
  • Download final PDF saves the report as a PDF.
  • From the view, you can finalize (archive) a completed report so it's kept as a filed record.
  • The history grid also lets you correct a report's date or delete a report you no longer need.
